Privacy, plainly explained.
We collect what is needed to receive submissions, protect the service and understand aggregate use.
Submissions and attachments
Claims, corrections, source recommendations, optional email addresses and image attachments are stored in the site’s database and private object storage. Only the authorized owner can read them. Please do not include sensitive information about yourself or other people.
Usage counts
The app records daily aggregate page-view, share-action and matched/unmatched search counts. It does not save raw search text, advertising identifiers or a visitor browsing history. A share action is not proof that someone received or opened a link. Owner testing is excluded. Do Not Track suppresses app usage events.
Abuse controls and votes
For short-term rate limits, the server derives an hourly identifier from the incoming IP address and a secret; it does not store the raw address in the application database. These limiter records are deleted on subsequent writes after expiry. Research votes require ChatGPT sign-in and use a hashed site-specific user ID to prevent duplicate topic votes.
Sign-in and hosting
ChatGPT Sites handles sign-in and hosting. The application receives authenticated identity headers when a visitor signs in. Hosting and identity providers may retain operational logs under their own policies. External source links are governed by those websites’ policies.
Retention and deletion
Submissions are retained until the owner deletes them; there is no automatic deletion schedule in this version. Contact the project through the form with your submission reference to request deletion. The owner can delete the submission and its attachment. Editorial revisions may retain the resulting public correction without submitter details.
Local preferences and payments
Your browser stores your theme preference locally. No advertising trackers or payment processor are active. No claim or attachment is sent to a paid AI service by this version.
